私の作品は水彩紙に水彩で描きパネルに張った上に湯煎して溶かしたパラフィンワックスを流し込んでいます。そうすると擦りガラスを一枚作品に乗せたような効果が出ます。なぜ作品をカバーするのか、それは直に見えない物事は直接見えるより想像力を働かせると思うからです。

人は日常生活しているときには意識の底に眠っている記憶があり、普段は思い出さないまま生活しているけれど、匂い、音、映像、手触りなどのきっかけで不意に意識の表面に浮かんでくることがあります。そうした眠っている記憶こそが人を形成する核になっていると思います。そんな意識の底の記憶を表現しています。

Concept

The base of my work is made by watercolor on paper, and the paraffin wax was poured over on it; this process brings about an effect on my work as if they are covered by frosted glasses.

The reason why I cover my works i such way is because I believe that indirectly sighted images Stimulate us emotionally even more than directly sighted ones do.

Mells, sounds, visuals and tactual senses sometimes unexpectedly bring back some memories which had been under the level of consciousness for a long time, and I believe those memories are the core of Which we are built.

Those memories are portrayed in my works; the shimmering water of gold fish scooping, the highway in the rain, the air after the rain, the sunshine filtering through foliage, the thin ice in the chilly morning, etc...
